Charlie and Jan's Wedding Cake
This two tier wedding cake was made for Charlie and Jan for their
wedding at Eastwood
Park. Though the couple
were having an intimate wedding and did not really need three tiers the high
ceilings at Eastwood
Park call for a wedding
cake with height and impact.
By displaying the cakes on the three tier ‘S’ shaped stand and the creation of a top tier display based around a candle the required height was achieved.
A fine piped royal icing pattern to the sides of each cake enhanced the delicate sugar flowers I made which included pale pink and ivory roses along with mixed foliage. These decorations blended with the bridal flowers and the table displays created by their florist which also included candles so their wedding cake linked in beautifully.
I was very happy to receive the following message:
“Just a few lines to say thanks to you for making us a wonderful wedding cake for 10th June at Eastwood Park. In fact we are still eating it! We have lovely pictures of the finished product for our album it looked beautiful. Thanks once again for your hard work. Very best wishes Charlie and Jan. X”
