David's 70th Birthday Cake
Golf is a theme that comes up on many occasions and I have created
numerous golf cakes over the years. This 3D model golf course cake was made for
David’s 70th birthday. As so often happens, this cake was created
following telephone discussions and email exchanges along with photographs
supplied by Lynne. The cake was based on a light fruit cake which is a sherry
based mix. With the details supplied such as the make of golf bag and usual
golfing outfit I designed a cake to fit with David’s hobby. You may note that
there is no big birthday message, in fact the wording happy 70th
David was on a small tag attached to his golf bag!
Lynne was delighted with the cake and has since had another designed by me for her grand daughter Renie. Lynne emailed:
“Just had to write and say Wow what a fantastic cake, everyone absolutely loved it – it was on the dinner table all evening in the restaurant and lots of people were asking about it so hopefully you’ll get some more sales. Anyway I loved it very much, so much so I’m going to ask you to do one for my grand daughter’s birthday…... Regards Lynne.”
