Fabulous @ Forty Cupcakes
Anna’s 40th birthday party was a fabulous evening cocktail party with canapés. We discussed her requirements and ideas and it was decided that a selection of different cupcake flavours and sizes with the addition of bite size desserts would work best. This meant that the cakes could be easily served and shared. The addition of a top feature cake also allowed her to have a cake to take home and share with her children the following day.
Following discussions with her friends the black/red and silver colour scheme was decided on. The top cake was a chocolate sponge with its brocade design echoing the black and white brocade cupcake papers of the larger cupcakes and finished with a selection of fresh berries. Her cupcakes were in three sizes and flavours, luscious chocolate, zesty lemon, and tasty vanilla encased in red, silver and black papers, personalised with her name and age. I also created mini Banoffee Pies and Profiteroles with Chantilly cream.
The overall display was spectacular and smelt
pretty wonderful too! The cakes were a big hit with her and her guests. Anna Commented:
