Kerry and Kevin's Castle Wedding Cake
Creating castle wedding cakes is always a favourite with me! As each is
hand made and I do not use any moulds every single castle is unique. This
castle was made for Kerry and Kevin for their wedding reception at the Ship
Inn. I used their colour scheme of dusky pink and silver to pick out the
details on the cake along with the lettering to the flag and shield above the
door. By having their names, wedding date and initials on their castle their
can be no mistaking whose castle it was! As I always do with my castle wedding
cakes I try to encourage the couples to further personalise them in someway. In
the case of Kerry and Kevin the inclusion of a mountain bike (Kevin’s) and an England rugby
shirt (Kerry’s) this was achieved and it also added a touch of humour!
Here is the message that I was sent after the day:
“We would like to say a big thank you for making our wedding cake, it was amazing. Everyone commented on it and the Ship Inn wanted a picture to put in their album, which we have given them. It was a shame to cut it but at least we have lots of pictures. Many thanks again Kerry and Kevin Hall.”
